Very similar to the original Yeti concept, seen at Geneva in 2005, the production version adds five doors and a simpler front end, with a traditional Skoda grille and spotlights. This 4.2 metre long, five-door vehicle bears the well-known features of the brand. An impressive front end with a ribbed grille and friendly looking headlamps confidently demonstrates the design of Skoda Yeti. Skoda has launched Yeti in 2 variants - Ambiente and Elegance.

Skoda India is going to launch the Yeti in diesel only, it is going to sport a 2.0 litre common rail diesel engine which generates maximum power of 140 bhp at 4200 rpm and 320 nm of maximum power at 1750 rpm. The engine will be mated to six speed manual transmission and will also features all wheel drive system which makes Yeti a serious off roader.

It is expected that Skoda Yeti will be launched in two variants: Ambiente and Elegance. The main difference between elegance and ambiente is that Elegance has 6 airbags in comparison to 2 in ambiente variant and it has 12 speakers with music system in comparison to 8 in ambiente variant.
